Are you stewarding the gifts you’ve been given—or comparing yourself to gifts you don’t have?

Are you stewarding the gifts you’ve been given—or comparing yourself to gifts you don’t have?

(From one of my quiet times this week..)

“Each one, as a good manager of God’s different gifts, must use for the good of others the special gift he has received from God.” —1 Peter 4:10 (GNT)

Purpose isn’t discovered by chasing someone else’s calling. It’s revealed when we recognize and steward what God has already placed in us.

Our gifts include the things we didn’t choose—our background, experiences, and wiring—as well as our SHAPE: spiritual gifts, heart, abilities, personality, and experiences. These are not random. They’re intentional. And they’re meant to be used for the good of others.

God doesn’t expect me to operate outside of how He designed me. He does expect me to faithfully use what I’ve been given. When I stand before Him, I won’t be compared to anyone else—only to what I did with what was entrusted to me.

The story of Esther reminds us of this truth (Esther 2:15, 17 NIV). God used her specific gifts to position her for a moment that changed lives. In the same way, your gifts are not accidental—they are purposeful.

The real measure of success isn’t talent or comparison. It’s stewardship.

Bottom line:
You are responsible for faithfully using the gifts God has given you—to serve others and fulfill the purpose He uniquely designed for you.

Next Step:
What is one gift God has given you—and how will you intentionally use it this week to serve someone else?
If you’re ready to grow in self-awareness, leadership, and purpose, let’s have a conversation. That’s the work I love to do—helping people discover and step into their fullest potential.
